The New York Submit urges Trump to cease the insanity and admit it
One of President Trump’s favorite newspapers calls on him to “end this dark charade” and defeat in the 2020 presidential election.
In a scathing front-page editorial published Monday, the New York Post accused Trump of “cheering for an undemocratic coup” when he urged Republicans in Congress to discard the results on Jan. 6 when Congress meets to endorse the electoral college vote confirming Joe Biden’s victory.
Since the November 3rd elections, the Trump campaign and its legal team have filed dozens of lawsuits with baseless and unsubstantiated allegations of election fraud. They lost almost every one of them.
“You had every right to investigate the choice,” the Post said. “But let’s be clear: these efforts have found nothing.”
The newspaper called Sidney Powell, one of the lawyers who put forward wild and false conspiracy theories accusing massive election fraud, a “crazy person”. It has Michael Flynn, Trump’s former national security adviser, who put the idea of declaring martial law to reiterate as treasonous and “shameful” elections in four states that the president lost, further in the air blown up.
“We understand, Mr. President, that you are angry that you have lost,” said the editorial. “But to continue down this path is ruinous. We offer this as a newspaper that has supported and supported you: if you want to cement your influence and even set the stage for a future return, you need to channel your anger into something more productive. “
Post’s editorial is eye-catching. Not only did the conservative tabloid endorse Trump’s re-election bid, but Trump often hailed the Post for its coverage of Hunter Biden in the last days of the campaign. Trump also had an extensive relationship with the Post, dating back to his time as a New York real estate developer and tabloid figure. “Very proud of @nypost, my former ‘home newspaper’,” Trump tweeted in October.

The editorial urged Trump to focus on the January 5 runoff elections in Georgia that will determine which party controls the U.S. Senate. Democrats Jon Ossoff and Rev. Raphael Warnock will face GOP Sens. David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler.
The story goes on
Currently, Republicans have 50 seats in the Senate while Democrats control 48. If Warnock and Ossoff both win, the Democrats will take control of the House in January as Vice-President-elect Kamala Harris will be able to cast all of the votes.
“If Republicans David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler win, they will stop Biden from undoing what you have accomplished,” the Post said. “A Republican Senate can pressure Biden to revert to the old, failed Iran deal, prevent him from opening our southern border, and prevent him from grabbing the Supreme Court.
“… Remember. You came out of nowhere to win the presidency,” the paper continued. “You have taken on the elites and media that have long been out of touch with average workers. You have changed politics, which few in American history can say: if Georgia falls, everything will be threatened.
“… Democrats will try to write you off as a one-time aberration, and frankly you are helping them with it. King Lear of Mar-a-Lago complains about the world’s corruption. Securing the Senate means securing your legacy, ”the Post added. “If you insist on spending your final days in the office threatening to burn everything down, that’s how you will be remembered. Not as a revolutionary, but as an anarchist who holds the match. “
