The New York reunion will start with Paramount +

Next month, ViacomCBS will replace CBS All Access with Paramount + to cause a stir in streaming. Part of that effort will include a rebirth for The Real World. A few decades after a reality TV boom began, MTV is pulling its original roommates (Becky Blasband, Andre Comeau, Heather B. Gardner, Julie Gentry, Norman Korpi, Eric Nies, and Kevin Powell) back to the same loft in NYC for themselves in The Homecoming the real world: New York.

Old episodes of The Real World can already be streamed on All Access / Paramount +, and the new multi-episode series will premiere when the new service launches on March 4th. While CBS All Access relied on many genre programming, reality TV appears to be a differentiator for Paramount + as it seeks to compete in a much crowded arena.
