The Irishman dies after an incident in New York

An Irishman has died in New York after falling from “heights”.

Longford’s Ciaran O’Boyle was found unconscious on Gates Avenue before he was later pronounced dead at Woodhull Hospital after an ambulance responded to an emergency call around 11:40 p.m. U.S. time, the NYPD confirmed.

“Upon arrival, the officers observed a 22-year-old man who was unconscious and unresponsive,” a NYPD spokesman confirmed.

“The man must have had trauma to his body that was accompanied by a fall from a height.”

“The investigation does not appear criminal and is still ongoing,” said the spokesman. “The doctor will determine the cause of death.”

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade is aware of the case and is providing consular assistance.
