New York refugee arrested in Jackson Township | information

According to the US Marshals Service in Buffalo, a New York refugee was arrested Monday on charges of failure to register as a sex offender.

US marshals from Johnstown found Dale Edward Miller, 54, from the 100 block of Azalea Lane, Indiana, in a store in Jackson Township.

According to a criminal complaint, the Jamestown City Police Department issued an arrest warrant for Miller on May 1, 2020 after Miller allegedly failed to register as a sex offender.

Federal agents found Miller in the parking lot of Laughard’s Chickree Mountain Truck and Trailer Sales in Vintondale.

Miller was taken into custody without incident on a pending fugitive arrest warrant. He was indicted by on-call District Judge Rick Varner of Salix and taken to Cambria County Jail on a $ 500,000 percent loan.

Court records show that after his conviction on March 4, 2003, Miller was sentenced to 14 months to five years in prison for intercourse with a minor.
