TikToker are calling out their “toxic” jobs and the stories are harrowing

One of the latest TikTok trends is for users to call their current or previous jobs about their toxic environment. Lindsay Hanson, a professional life coach, started the trend by asking her followers to tell her, “the moment you realized your workplace was toxic AF”. “It was mine when I asked my senior [teammate] lunch with me and he said he couldn’t because he didn’t want people to see him ‘take a lunch break’, ”said Hanson. Their first TikTok generated over 4,700 comments and countless # sticky replies from users complaining about their own toxic workplace experiences. A TikToker named Danielle shared that she never took her hour-long lunch break from her old job and always opted for a quick lunch at the desk instead. User @indigosjourney said her toxic work experience was “likely when I was born and I got a call from my boss asking if I would submit my report and if I would be back the next day”. Another user, @ leeann9913, shared that the first time she tried a menstrual cup at work, she bled through her pants and was not allowed to go home to change. TikToker Shannon Davis probably took the cake here with her story of someone in her workplace who came up to her while she was having lunch and put her hands “right in her food” and ate it off her plate
