New York Life Launches New On-line Portal for Lengthy Time period Care Insurance coverage Homeowners

NEW YORK–(BUSINESS WIRE) – New York Life today announced the launch of the Long-Term Care Center, a new online portal for long-term care insurance owners that is one of the first life insurers to offer a digital tool to support long-term care claims process.

“The launch of the Long Term Care Center reaffirms our commitment to delivering innovative, accessible long term care solutions and new, easier ways for policyholders to get in touch,” said Aaron Ball, SVP, Head of Insurance Solutions, Service and Marketing, New York Life. “By giving our agents and policyholders the ability to manage policies and initiate and monitor long-term care entitlements online, we can improve the customer experience and increase transparency for policyholders and their families who need access to insurance benefits.”

The Long-Term Care Center operated by LTC Administrator LTCG is available to New York Life policyholders who log on to the MyNYL online services platform at newyorklife.com. With this new tool, policy holders can now initiate an LTC claim, track an eligibility decision, review submitted and paid claims, view policy benefits, and update basic demographic information. New York Life and LTCG will continue to expand the capabilities available, including policyholder service capabilities and the ability to go paperless with e-correspondence in the coming months.

In addition to policy management, policy holders can also access resources to maintain independence and simplify their claims experience. This includes:

  • Find Care: A proprietary database of more than 100,000 vendors

  • Library: articles, checklists, videos and tips

  • Care Costs: An interactive map that compares the cost of long-term care

  • Partners: Access tailored recommendations for partners who offer age-in-place solutions

“LTCG is proud to partner with New York Life to make the long-term care center available to its policyholders and agents,” said Peter Goldstein, CEO of LTCG. “This powerful digital tool is just one example of our commitment to investing in industry-leading solutions that help insurers improve the customer experience for the people they serve.”
