New York Jets Publish Henry Anderson Defensive Finish

The New York Jets have released defense attorney Henry Anderson, the team said on Tuesday evening.

29-year-old Anderson has been with the Jets since 2018 and has played 102 tackles in 45 games. The defensive end appeared in all 16 games last season with 0.5 sacks, four tackles against loss and three quarterback hits.

The release of Anderson and the upcoming free agency saved New York even more money on the cap as the defender was due $ 8.2 million for the next season.

New York is likely to address its line of defense in the free agency and NFL draft this spring, potentially targeting an edge rusher to balance the pass rush with rising star defensive tackle Quinnen Williams.

We could see a few more moves like this in the next few days as the Jets prepare for a free agency where every dollar counts.

Before joining the Jets, Anderson played three seasons for the Indianapolis Colts. He is a former third party from Stanford. In three seasons with Gang Green, Anderson collected 8.5 sacks and 28 hits on the quarterback.

His biggest game of the year took place in week 11 when Anderson snuck into the backfield to block a punt against the Los Angeles Chargers.
