DJ LeMahieu gets his first reruns on Spring’s third base, while Derek Dietrich and Jay Bruce continue to battle for a roster spot on opening day.

With a day off tomorrow – the last day off before spring training ends – it’s not surprising that most of the starters are in the lineup. Only Luke Voit and Gio Urshela did not travel to Dunedin.

Beyond Vlad Guerrero Jr., this is a full starting grid for Jordan Montgomery. The Yankees confirmed just how talented this Blue Jays line-up is this spring … we’ll get another taste of it this afternoon.

First inning

Both Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton tore down hard-hit singles in the middle of Thomas Hatch, but New York failed to make the first round.

An impressive first inning from Jordan Montgomery that pulled the team all right.

Fourth inning

Jordan Montgomery has four innings behind him and has not allowed a hit, while the Yankees have only added one base goal since the first … Very calm first innings on offense for both teams.
