BRADENTON, Fla. – The Yankees traveled to Bradenton for Game 7 of the Spring Training Exhibition Games. After a brief rain delay, we’re supposed to leave at about 2.15 p.m. ET and the tarpaulin has fallen from the field.

This was supposed to be Gerrit Cole’s start against his former team, but with rain in the forecast, the Yankees decided to withhold the right-handed in Tampa. Cole threw a simulation game against his teammates and scored up to 50 spots.
Another former pirate (Jameson Taillon) takes on Cole’s place against his former club. Some starters are also on the offensive – Jay Bruce, Derek Dietrich, Mike Tauchman and others continue to battle for a spot on opening day.
Yes, that’s old friend Todd Frazier on the third base and Dustin Fowler on the designated batsman!
