Hey New York! IKEA Queens is formally open in Rego Park

At IKEA Queens, customers experience a new IKEA format that differs from the Planning Studio in Manhattan (open April 2019) and traditional IKEA stores. Customers can:

  • Buy and take home portable furnishing accessories made especially for New Yorkers.
  • Buy all other products and set up home delivery for a flat fee of $ 49 for everywhere in New York City.
  • Enjoy self-paid and assisted check-out options for a seamless shopping experience.
  • Schedule appointments with IKEA staff to plan kitchens, living rooms, and bedrooms.

IKEA Queens is located in the Rego Center shopping mall on the corner of Queens Boulevard and Junction Boulevard. This location was strategically chosen because it is only one block from the Q59 and Q60 bus stops and right next to the 63rd driveway. Rego Park Metro station served by the M and R trains. The shop is open every day from 10 a.m. – 9 p.m..

Protecting the health and safety of its customers and employees is a top priority for IKEA. The new store comes with all of the security enhancements introduced at other IKEA locations during the pandemic. These include guidelines for physical distancing, preventive hygiene practices, temperature checks for employees, rigorous cleaning and disinfection, and adherence to strict capacity limits.

IKEA continues to transform its business to be more accessible to customers everywhere. The Queens Store will be the third location in New York City, complements the Planning Studio in Manhattan and IKEA Brooklyn – make the shopping experience even more comfortable. IKEA also has stores nearby long Island, NEW, Elizabeth, NJ, and Paramus, NJ and recently opened a Customer Fulfillment Center in Staten Island to support the demand in the market.

As part of IKEA’s global commitment to sustainability, the company has set itself the goal of completing 100% of deliveries over the last mile in New York City by electric vehicle by the end of January 2021.
