Cork-N-Rubber – What Is It And How Is It Used?

Cork is a material that is very similar in feel to wood but is much stronger and more waterproof. Cork is impermeable by nature, a water-resistant, buoyant, low-density material. Cork can be made from many different types of plant fiber including hemp, willow, manzanita, and teak. It is typically harvested from cork oak trees in North America where the tree grows quickly and readily takes up moisture from the air.

It is one of the main ingredients in the creation of many different types of soaps, deodorants, shampoos, hair styling solutions, floor waxes, and even cleaning solvents for the car.
