(WSYR) – COVID-19 vaccines have been given to outlets in the county, but the number of doses is small.

Thousands lose vaccine appointments as NYS orders dealers to focus on Phase 1A again

Dates for COVID-19 vaccines in Onondaga County are already booked. They go fast and getting less vaccine doesn’t make things any easier. Onondaga County’s executive Ryan McMahon set the numbers for the next week.

“We have 990 vaccination sites open,” said McMahon. “This week’s vaccination week from Wednesday to Wednesday starts today. We have 900 slots and 990 cans. We received 900 vials of Moderna. We will take 990 pictures of it. “

Next Wednesday, McMahon said we could get a little more doses, but not nearly as much as we did two weeks ago in Onondaga County.

The New York State Fairgrounds appears to be fully booked until April 16 and is currently not making any appointments. Only two of the state locations are: Potsdam and Plattsburgh.

Oneida County received 500 cans and is already booked this week. The earliest new hires at the county-operated locations are January 27th.

Madison County is fully booked, as are Oswego Counties and Cortland Counties. Cayuga County only received 200 doses for the next week, and Tompkins County received none.
