A lady’s face was slit open in an unprovoked assault in New York Metropolis
NEW YORK (AP) – A 60-year-old woman was slapped in the face in an unprovoked attack on a street in the Bronx, according to New York police.
The woman was walking down a sidewalk on Thursday afternoon when a man came up to her from behind and patted her on the shoulder, police said. When she turned, the man slapped her forehead and eyes in silence before fleeing in a gray Honda Civic.
The victim was treated in a hospital.
The police released a photo of the vehicle late Friday as well as a request for tips. The car has a dent on the passenger’s front end.
